Meet Laura Founder & Osteopath
Hi, I’m Laura an osteopath, strength coach, and the founder behind The Recovery Project. Long before I was treating patients or coaching people through strength training, I spent most of my life in the equestrian world. It taught me a deep understanding of bodies in motion. Horses don’t hide their weaknesses they show you through movement, behaviour, and patterns. That ability to “read” subtle changes transferred naturally to how I assess human movement today.
What I Love Working With
I work best with people who are ready to understand why their pain keeps coming back and are willing to do the work to change it.
Long-term back and hip pain
Running injuries & strength for runners
Strength training for people who feel intimidated or inexperienced
Women’s health through strength
People who’ve relied on hands-on treatment for years
Hip labral tears, gluteal tendinopathy, and stubborn lower-limb issues
My Approach (and What to Expect)
I’m known for being:
Honest and direct I will tell you what you need to hear, not what sounds good.
Evidence-based but practical you get clear explanations you can actually use.
Movement-focused you’ll move, lift, and learn every session.
Calm but not soft I’ll push you (kindly) because growth doesn’t happen in your comfort zone.
Big on education you’ll understand your pain, why it behaves the way it does, and how to manage it confidently.
You’ll love working with me if:
You’re tired of quick fixes
You’re open-minded and willing to learn
You want to get stronger, not just “less sore”
You’re ready for a long-term solution
You value clear, honest guidance
You want a practitioner who will coach, mentor, and support you not just treat you for 15 minutes and rush you out the door
If you’re ready to finally get on the front foot with your body, build resilience, and understand what your pain is really telling you, I’d love to help you get there.
